Unlike a tank, however, it’s a little trickier to send operatives to clean the pipelines. You can remove them, which is costly, since they are often buried underground, or you can fill them with specialist foam, which absorbs the vapours and fills any gaps, unlike concrete, which can leave pockets of gas present.
